Certified Aggression Control Manager This 28 hour online certificate program is designed to put the employer in control when dealing with potential aggression in the workplace. For too long employers have been the helpless victims of workplace violence, not knowing what to do or what should have been done to prevent employee outbursts of violent behavior. Sometimes these outbursts result in injury or death to other employees. This program has been designed to give you answers to many situations where workplace aggression can be stopped before it results in violent behavior. In fact, this program will show you how to prevent conflict itself; a claim that no other program can make. Our certificate program leads you through the steps of recognizing and dealing with employees who are exhibiting signs of aggressive behavior long before the employee acts out; not only making a workplace safer but diminishing aggression related tardiness and absenteeism, a significant cost unknown to most organizations. Recognizing that aggression exists in two forms − adrenaline driven and intent driven − permits employees to prevent not only violent behavior but simple “employee friction”, which is known to cause increased injuries, tardiness, absenteeism, lost productivity and diminished loyalty. Prevent “employee friction” and, of course, you will prevent violence. This unique and proprietary program helps you understand how people react to stress and how you can even prevent conflict by following a few simple guidelines. This course helps you establish workable programs for your place of business were everyone can be involved. We have found that there are certain key indicators that are often noticed by co-workers but go unreported because there is no system in place for collecting information for decision making purposes. This course will teach you how to set up a program and establish a system for identifying employees who have the potential to be violent long before the actual violence occurs. Have you heard the phrase, “Workplace Violence Prevention” and wondered where the “prevention” was? Aggression Control Management is all about prevention; preventing aggression before it gets started, preventing assaults before they happen, picking out and identifying potential aggressive employees and preventing them from acting out on their anger. The lessons learned in this course offer the universal progressive aggression indicators that permit an employee to prevent and diffuse escalating aggression in the most effective way. This certificate program consists of 14 online modules, each module teaches progressively important aspects of Aggression Control Management. Once you have completed each module and pass a short quiz you progress to the next module. At the end of all 14 modules there is comprehensive assessment of your overall knowledge of the subject matter and your ability to deal with an actual Aggression Control Management event. Certified Aggression Control Managers receives Certification from the University of South Florida (USF) OTI Education Center that is valid for two years. The certification can be renewed every two years by completing an additional 6 hours of USF OTI Education Center Aggression Control Management courses that are designed to provide updates in the field of Aggression Management.
