"There are More Non-Fatal Attacks

in Healthcare than any other Industry!"

How to Prevent Aggression in Healthcare

Conflict Resolution pre-supposes Conflict, you have already waited too long! You have already past prevention!  Learn how to prevent aggression.

Even the Royal Mail has determined its cost from "employee friction" to be £247,000,000 per year. Do you know what the cost of aggression is in your workplace?  When there are aggressors in your workforce, no one else wants to be there. This causes tardiness, absenteeism and ultimately turnover. The costs to productivity and the bottom line are profound.

An increasing number of Healthcare Employers across the US are utilizing Aggression Management Training to diminish aggression in their workplaces. Diminished aggression in the workplace yields greater productivity. Imagine a future where productivity is significantly enhanced and employee satisfaction is at an all time high. Come see how to prevent aggression in your workplace.   There is, of course, the potential for a violent incident, and the subsequent personnel and financial hardships.

We have all heard about Violence in Healthcare and with NIOSH declaring that more non-fatal assaults occur in Healthcare than any other industry, we now must make every reasonable effort to protect our employees, i.e. doctors, nurses, others; patients and their families from this potential tragedy. The message that the word "Violence" conveys is misleading. It conjures up violent crimes and fatalities. Too often, Administrators who have not experienced a shooting in the past year are likely to discount Healthcare Violence as an issue. When you consider solutions to Healthcare Violence, you tend to arrive at "Crisis Management." I have a crisis, I need to management it. This is a reactive solution not a preventive one. With the lives of our employees and patients at risk, we must provide "prevention", not merely crisis management.

We achieve prevention only when we consider "aggression" as the root of the problem. "Aggression" embodies everything from verbal abuse through violent behavior.  Don't you and your fellow employees deserve an aggression-free workplace?

The Center's Workshops offers practical information about managing workplace aggression and reducing exposure to its costly consequences. The session provides the
